Special Session 5: Future Directions in AI-Enhanced Education: From Systems to Pedagogical Paradigms
专题分会5:人工智能增强教育的未来发展方向:从系统到教学范式
The special session, Future Directions in AI-Enhanced Education: From Systems to Pedagogical Paradigms, is designed as a forward-looking intellectual forum that goes beyond incremental applications of AI in education. Rather than focusing on tools, platforms, or isolated case studies, the session aims to clarify emerging directions and articulate how AI is reshaping educational thinking at the level of systems, cognition, and pedagogy.
The session will synthesise perspectives from AI-driven learning design, cognition-aware educational systems, human-AI interaction, and next-generation pedagogical models, with particular attention to how these developments influence attention, judgment, agency, and learning under uncertainty. By bringing together interdisciplinary viewpoints, the session seeks to identify underlying patterns and conceptual shifts that are likely to shape educational research and practice before they fully enter the mainstream publication cycle.
Topics may include, but are not limited to: AI-enhanced learning architectures, cognition-aligned pedagogy, adaptive and generative learning systems, ethical and epistemic implications of AI in education, and the transition from technology-centred innovation to paradigm-level educational transformation.
The session is intentionally framed as a space for synthesis, interpretation, and agenda-setting, supporting participants in situating their work within the broader future trajectory of AI-enhanced education.

Research Areas: Brain-Driven Entrepreneurship Education
Neuroscience-Informed Learning and Human Performance Cognition, Decision-Making, and Learning Under Uncertainty AI-Enhanced and Cognition-Aware Educational Systems Entrepreneurial Mindset Development and Cognitive Training
Dr. Victor (Vik) Perez is an Associate Professor and a leading contributor to the development of brain-driven entrepreneurship education, an emerging field that integrates insights from neuroscience into how entrepreneurship, innovation, and human performance are taught and developed.
His work reframes entrepreneurship as a cognitively demanding human activity rather than a purely managerial skillset, advancing a paradigm shift toward cognitive alignment. This perspective emphasises how attention, judgment, emotional regulation, resilience, and decision-making under uncertainty shape entrepreneurial behaviour and learning outcomes, positioning neuroscience as a critical foundation for the future evolution of education.
Dr. Perez is the founder of the Global Brain-Driven Entrepreneurship Network (BRANET), an international initiative connecting scholars and practitioners working at the intersection of cognition, learning, and entrepreneurial performance. He is also the creator of the WNYLE Method, a neuroscience-aligned framework designed to enhance entrepreneurial learning and human performance by sequencing attention, emotion, reflection, and action in ways that mirror how the brain learns under uncertainty.
His work spans education, cognitive science, and emerging technologies, with applications in entrepreneurship education, AI-enhanced learning environments, and performance-oriented pedagogical design. He has led and advised international initiatives across Europe and Asia and has piloted brain-aligned learning interventions with international student cohorts in innovation-focused educational contexts.
Dr. Perez’s work is increasingly shaping interdisciplinary conversations on the future of education, AI-enhanced pedagogy, and human performance in complex, unpredictable environments, and has been disseminated through international academic forums, invited talks, and public scholarship, including The Conversation.
